3 Phase Toroidal Transformer

3 Phase Toroidal Transformer

Details
Three-phase toroidal transformers are designed with a toroidal core structure and serve as three-phase AC isolation transformers. Their main function is to convert three-phase 380V industrial frequency AC power into three-phase or single-phase low-voltage AC power (such as 220V, 110V, etc.) at the required voltage.

Product Introduction

Three-phase toroidal transformers are designed with a toroidal core structure and serve as three-phase AC isolation transformers. Their main function is to convert three-phase 380V industrial frequency AC power into three-phase or single-phase low-voltage AC power (such as 220V, 110V, etc.) at the required voltage. At the same time, through electrical isolation of the primary winding, they achieve physical separation between the high-voltage and low-voltage sides, combining three core functions: voltage conversion, electrical isolation, and voltage stabilization with noise reduction. The transformer features a closed toroidal core structure with windings evenly wrapped around the core, resulting in a closed magnetic circuit and extremely low magnetic leakage. It is a highly efficient, stable, and energy-efficient core power device for medium- to high-power three-phase power supply applications.

Product Features

The iron core of the three-phase toroidal transformer is integrally wound by seamless cold-rolled grain-oriented silicon steel strip.

Its no-load loss and no-load current are much lower than those of traditional laminated three-phase transformers, delivering excellent energy-saving performance.

Under the same power, its volume is about 20% smaller than that of conventional EI-type transformers.

Its unit price is relatively higher than ordinary EI-type low-frequency transformers.

FAQ

Q: What is the difference between a three-phase toroidal transformer and a conventional three-phase EI transformer?

A: The core differences lie in the iron core structure and performance: conventional EI transformers use a laminated iron core with an air gap in the magnetic circuit, resulting in high magnetic leakage, high noise, and high losses. In contrast, three-phase toroidal transformers use a closed toroidal core with no air gap in the magnetic circuit, offering low magnetic leakage, extremely low noise, low energy consumption, and high efficiency. For the same power rating, they are smaller in size and lighter in weight, making them suitable for medium- to high-power applications that demand high efficiency, low noise, and stability. However, they are more expensive than EI-type transformers.
