Product Introduction
Also known as magnetic ring inductor, the toroidal coil inductor is a magnetic electronic component made by tightly winding insulated copper wire on a toroidal core (materials including ferrite, iron powder core, sendust, amorphous alloy, nanocrystalline alloy, etc.). Featuring a fully closed magnetic circuit and compact structure, it is a fundamental component widely used in circuits for energy storage, filtering, anti-interference and current suppression. It is available in various types such as common mode, differential mode, power and high-frequency signal types.

Product Features
Toroidal coil inductors feature low magnetic leakage, high efficiency, and low losses. However, due to their structural characteristics, the inductance value is generally fixed and cannot be adjusted after the coil is wound.
When made with specific core materials (such as amorphous alloy or ferrite), the inductance value is significantly affected by temperature. Moreover, because the core is a closed-loop toroidal type, improper design under high current conditions can easily lead to core saturation.

FAQ
Q: How to prevent the core saturation of toroidal PFC inductor under high current operating conditions?
A: Adopt alloy magnetic cores such as sendust and molypermalloy. These materials feature high saturation flux density (Bs) and superior anti-saturation capability, which effectively avoid core saturation under high current.
The core can be gapped by cutting to introduce an air gap, thereby preventing saturation of the product.
