Product Introduction

A low voltage isolation transformer is a dry-type isolated power supply device based on the principle of electromagnetic induction. Its core function is to convert standard 50/60 Hz 220 V or 380 V AC mains power into a safe low voltage, such as 12 V, 24 V, or 36 V. At the same time, it achieves electrical isolation between the primary and secondary windings, providing physical separation between the high-voltage and low-voltage sides and eliminating the risk of electric leakage. Featuring a compact structure, stable operation, and multiple protection functions, this transformer is widely used in applications with high electrical safety requirements. It offers safe and reliable power supply for low-voltage equipment, lighting systems, and small instruments. Unlike standard non-isolated transformers, its core advantages lie in electrical isolation and strong safety protection. The core is typically made of silicon steel laminations, with common shapes including the EI type and the toroidal type.

FAQ

Q: Why won't people get an electric shock when using a low-voltage isolation transformer?

A: Electric shock occurs when a live conductor and a neutral conductor form a complete circuit, allowing current to flow through the human body. In contrast, a low-voltage isolation transformer achieves electrical isolation between its primary and secondary windings, and its secondary winding is not referenced to earth ground. As a result, when a person touches a single conductor from the secondary side, no closed-loop circuit is formed through the body, thereby preventing electric shock.
