Product Introduction
Also known as air-core coil inductor, it is directly wound with pure enameled copper wire without inner core, adopting air as dielectric medium. Its inductance value is determined by coil turns and dimensions. It is a basic inductor component featuring excellent high-frequency performance and anti-saturation property.
Key core parameters include inductance (L), Q factor, DCR, rated current, winding precision and distributed capacitance. Among them, Q factor, self-resonant frequency and distributed capacitance are its superior advantages. With air serving as magnetic medium, it causes no core loss and boasts generally high Q factor ranging from 87 to 300 for standard models, showing prominent advantages in high-frequency applications. Its ultra-low distributed capacitance effectively improves parameter stability and avoids high-frequency signal interference.

Q: Can air core inductors achieve high inductance values?
A: No. Air features extremely low magnetic permeability. Its inductance can only be increased by raising coil turns and enlarging size, which will inevitably lead to larger volume and higher DCR.
